Diligence Pt. I

Oh dear. Seems I haven't quite got the hang of this whole blogging thing yet :S

Seeing as I haven't blogged for what seems to be a month but in actual fact is only about 2 and a bit weeks - maybe 3 and a bit.

Ah, well. Here goes - again.

As far as I can work out I come back to you now, at the turn of the tide...sorry, I watched LOTRs last night...anyway, it was a Sunday night and we - being me, Simon, Iain, Scott, Mark and his friend - went to the quiz at MMUnion* and then went to get foods from the take-away. Me, Simon and Iain then went back to Iain's and played a bit of Oblivion - well, Simon did - and then watched I believe 2 episodes of Firefly! Still fantastic!

The Tuesday of the following week I purchased a train ticket and bundled myself off to Lancaster. This is obviously where Kirsty lives. Ine the evening time, me and Kirsty and Kirsty's friend Lindsey - who likes my beard - and possibly some other people went out into town. We went to Revolutions bar and Hustle. It was a good night, seeing me through quite an amount of pocket. Making it back with a drunken Lindsey at about 3ish, we slept.

The following day did exist and me and Kirsty bussed into town and bought not a lot, except for 30 mini-creme eggs for £1! Which I certainly didn't complain about.
I apologise if I gloss over any facts, but my memory at this distance is hazier than a Saharan mirage.

Carrying dilligently on, the next day - being Thursday - I got the return train at a silly time because I had to be back in uni by 9:30. I made it. I was in uni for a WHOLE DAY! if you can believe that, 3 hours of which were spent out in the horrible freezingly windy day measuring a mound in a park and some trees. That evening, I called on Vicki when she had finished in college and we trekked down to ASDA, in Hulme, near Moss Side. She spent about £14, I spent £22 - although I hold that this is enough to cover me for about 6 weeks - so that'll be about the time that I next blog ¬_¬

Anyway, enough of the delights of shopping. Judging from my monetary outflow chart - which is what I'm using to work out exactly what I've been doing all this time - it seems that I spent a lot of the time on busses the next day. So I have to assume that I had a driving lesson. Just realised that that evening me and Vicki went to see Sweeney Todd in all its magnificence! What a delightful film it was! Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Alan Rickman, Timothy Spall and Sasha Baron Cohen! Can't be beaten :D

The end of the week came and as pre-planned by I don't know how many weeks, I went to Do-Dahs. In this outing there was: Kirsty, Shirin (organiser), Anish, Morgan, Jacki, Nicola, Sophie, Heskey, Rach and Jess, and me ofc. We had a very good time, exchanging pleasantries and things to do with uni or similar. Then the unplanned occurred. It was decided that we go to the cinema - to see Sweeney Todd, yay! - so we did. But we also went to Tesco and WHSmith where I accidentally bought 'Thud!' and 'Jingo' by Mr Terry Pratchett.

The following day was PFA! I don't recall the daytime being all that special, but the eveningtime, well. This was Linkin Park night! My parents went along also. I had written down the whole set-list in order, but managed - like I knew would happen - to delete it, so I can now only guess. I know they opened with 'Wake' and 'Given Up' and did remember what they ended on - I now can't - and everything else was just a jumble. But what a gig! ...Ahem.

In that week I spent £120. Oops.

Apparently on the Monday I went to HMV and spent £12, but I fail to remember what I bought - If its supposed to be the new Arch Enemy album then it's a lie - I bought that a few weeks prior. Oh well, it's there.

The next day being Tuesday, we went to Satan's - we being me and Vicki - and it was a lot of fun despite it being only the two of us. I got 3 drinks at free bar and only bought one after - being sensible and all that. Vicki found a boy that she had seen the previous week and spent most of the night attached to him in some way, so I was left alone but I didn't really care. I had a fun time moshing and generally dancing in some way shap or form. Some girl was fascinated by my ridiculously bright luminescent Cyberdog top. But then, so was I.

Phew...busy, busy, busy.

The next day, I went climbing with Fletch and Ric - Dani was ill. Properly. Ric was introduced to what he now calls Silly-Buggers**.

My week-into-weekend really kicked off when I purchased another train ticket up to Lancaster.

*The result if you wanted to know, we came 4th out of a potential 20. Which isn't that bad.

**Basically you take it in turns to do a climb on a bouldering wall - or at least, start off with say, 2 hand-holds, then the first person up marks two more hand-holds in the sequence that have to be used. The next person up uses these 4 hand-holds - using the same placements as the person up before - and then adds 2 more to the sequence. I hope that's clear.
